2012 didn't start well as I lost my beautiful Donald very suddenly and unexpectedly. He was a wonderful companion to both me and Zuzi and he is still so sadly missed. My one comfort is that he had the best life a dog could ever have.
I still have Zuzi who is now 12 years old and throughly spoilt but I don't care.
Work wise, I tried to be creative and came up with some cosy neck warmers (forget to photograph them!) and they've all sold. Doing more teaching and workshops and getting back to my roots of textiles.
I LOVE fabrics! I hoard and hoard and if I do nothing else in 2013, I MUST THROW some old fabrics away.............it's just soooooo hard!!
So, 2013 - plan A - get back in the 'real' creative groove. Started crocheting again after teaching one of my nieces. The trouble with crochet is it can be boring. Everyone thinks of granny squares and doilies. Not me. I found a wonderful Japanese/American (I think) designer who has inspired me, Yumiko Alexander, look her up DanDoh.blogspot.com
